2008

This is my first post of 2008. Thank you for being so patient!!
Still playing this lovely game called poker. Still being a consistant winner.
But poker isn't life. It's just a game.
Now I have moved countries and living in Northern Cyprus. Big bonus is, I get to see more of my kids. There has been a new addition to the Maxcon household. I have been blessed with my first daughter. She is a real bundle of fun. Her name is Anne, and she has the same birthday as my eldest son Tim. The 24th July. She has yet to learn the rules of poker. However, this does not make her boring.
Not done anything major to shake up the poker world. Did get close to the Poker Million payday a few weeks ago. Ended up 22nd after holding the chip lead for 3 hours. I didn't feel too bad after as I played great. Lost a couple of key pots late on. My 99 lost to 77 which made trips. Then my AK ran into A9 who paired the 9. So I did little wrong I fear.
I won a 109 freezout yesteday for a 3600 payday. I think that one was due after a lot of consistent play.
I am looking forward to a safe season for my beloved Fulham. A nice win over Arsenal made my day yesterday.
Predictions for the year. Man U for the title. Relegation for the Baggies, Hull and Stoke.
Championship, I have backed Reading and QPR.
First Div. I backed Leicester, Leeds will struggle for promotion I fear.
Second div I backed Port Vale, who to be honest have looked a bit ropey after winning their opener.
Good result for Darren Clarke today. I do hope he gets in the Ryder Cup side, as he is a great match player and will be a real assett to the Team.
