Well I am good at this blog lark. Very enthusiastic start I must say. I must do better than a blog a month!!
The poker has been going well with a couple of fecent tourny wins. The most notable being a $50 freezout with 819 runners for 10k. Iwas really pleased with my performance as I got chips early and stayed near the top of the leaderboard for the whole tourny and played really solid and patient at the final table. I saw a few raises with drawing hands such as 6/7 suited and was able to take down a lot of pots by betting or reraising the pot when I missed. I must say I had very few big hands throughout the tourny and won a lot of pots without showing my cards.
I also won an Omaha tourny which I completely dominated throughout.
I am very pleased with my heads up play and of the 9 times I have been in the last 3 recently, I have won eight. I am sure this is down to my playing style. I like to accumulate chips late on in tournies, and when I do reach finals tables. I have given myself the chance to win by having big chips.
I for the life of me cannot work out what is wrong with my sng form recently. I am playing really poorly and making heaps of bad decisions. Still as long as the tourny results stay the way they are, I am sure the worm will turn.
On the sports betting front, I had a nice touch on Ernie in the match play golf. I thought the 4/1 was a steal with him having the best of the draw. Not had any serious bets since and I always seem to get let down by 1 team for my weekend footy accumulator. Chelsea conceding a late on last weeked cost me dearly for a nice accer.
No tips at present for the weekend internationals. England suck but I really think they should cruise past Austria at the weekend. I am backing England for the win, but only to smallish stakes at a touch of odds on.
